What does payment pre-authorisation mean?
When an order is placed on our website, the funds for that order are "ringfenced" (or reserved) in your bank account - this is called a pre-authorisation (or pre-auth for short).
When we despatch the order we will take those funds fully. However, if the order is cancelled for any reason, we will not take the money - the reserved funds (the pre-authorisation) will automatically be released back into your account within 3-5 working days. This is a process completed by your bank so we are sadly unable to make that process any quicker.
