What is interval training?
Interval training is where you break your training up into periods of time, or different intervals as opposed to training at a constant resistance and level of speed.
Interval training replicates real road conditions such as climbs, downhill sections and times when you pull away from a standstill at junctions.
An example of interval training might be 5-10 minutes of high resistance/low speed training, followed by 20 minutes of high-speed aerobic performance.
